Ballet Philippines ends its 42nd Season with undying love in the all-new contemporary ballet, “Pusong Wagas” on February 17 to 18 at the CCP Little Theater. BP resident choreographer Alden Lugnasin creates his original contemporary ballet based on the legend of the city of Mandaluyong, with libretto by Nicolas B. Pichay and original music by independent music icon Cynthia Alexander.

February 17: James Judd Orchestra

Eminent British born conductor James Judd conducts the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra’s sixth concert series on February 17, 2012 at the Philamlife Theater. Finnish violinist and concertmaster of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) Vesa-Matti Leppänen is the guest performer.

February 18: Art in the Park
Where: Jaime Velasquez Park, Salcedo Village

Now on its fifth year, this annual art fair still stays true to its intent of making art more accessible by taking it out of the hushed, intimidating confines of the gallery, and bringing it to the unrestricted spaces of the outdoors. Visitors can stroll the grounds and browse the art on offer against a backdrop of trees and sky.

People Power Day: this public holiday in commemoration of the 1986 People Power Revolt is enjoyed by the people of Boracay with a day free from work and the opportunity to relax or meet with friends and family.
