October 01: Talulot Festival 2011

The Talulot Benefit Concert is one of the main highlights of this year’s Talulot Festival 2011. Since its birth in 2007, Talulot has been a wondrous spectacle of music, dance and local talents. Close to 2,500 people attend the Pontifical Mass and festivities every year. Talulot is named after the Filipino word for petal, in honor of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus who is also known as God’s Little Flower. Devotees of the Saint believe that she sends a flower or flowers as a sign of granted prayer.

October 09: Kids Cooking Class
Where: Intercontinental Hotel, 1 Ayala Avenue, Manila

InterContinental Manila chefs will conduct cooking classes for children 12 years of age and younger at the Prince Albert Rotisserie. Owl City musical project by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adam Young is coming to Manila. Young created the project while experimenting with music in his parents' basement. Like many musicians who achieved success in the era between 2005 and 2009, Owl City developed a following on the music and social networking site Myspace in the late 2000s before signing with Universal Republic in 2008.
